Actor Kim Hee-won (52) said that he was the first to recognize actor Im Si-wan, known as the ‘clear-eyed madman’, for his potential as a villain.

On the 22nd, an interview with Kim Hee-won of the Netflix movie 'I Just Dropped My Smartphone' (director Kim Tae-jun) was conducted at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

'I Just Dropped My Smartphone' is a thriller that tells the story of an ordinary office worker who loses his smartphone containing all his personal information and his entire daily life begins to be threatened. Kim Hee-won played the role of Ji-man, an ordinary office worker who lost her smartphone, Na-mi (played by Cheon Woo-hee), and a detective who chased after Jun-yeong (played by Im Si-wan), a serial killer who picked up Na-mi's smartphone.

Kim Hee-won laughed, saying, “There are pros and cons,” regarding the fact that a movie that was originally produced as a theatrical release was released on the OTT platform Netflix. He regretted, "It was filmed with the big screen in mind, so there are details that can be missed on the small screen," but smiled, "It's obvious, but you can watch it whenever you want, and it's good because you can turn it around when you don't understand it."

Kim Hee-won, who said, “I remember a lot of the filming because it was a work with a lot of affection,” said, “I waited for a year before filming for it to become a movie. I also talked to director Kim Tae-joon on the phone and exchanged encouragement,” adding, “I also gave the script to Im Si-wan. "he said.

“I received the script and waited for about a year. Director Kim also said, ‘Whether it works or not, I will prepare.’ In the meantime, he also gave the script to (Lim) Si-wan. ‘I thought it would be really interesting if a pretty girl like Si-wan became a murderer, so I recommended it. . What's unfortunate is that at that time, it was before the movie 'Emergency Declaration' came out. But we shot it quickly and released it before our movie came out. Originally, we were first. We were the first to do 'Clear-Eyed Madman'. Haha."

Kim Hee-won raised laughter by raising his voice and saying, "We come before the 'emergency declaration'," claiming his pioneering idea of catching the possibility of an unusual murderer in Im Si-wan.

Kim Hee-won said, "Siwan's character, Joonyoung, has to be good at computers, so he had to look smart and completely like the MZ generation. Don't you have the image that Siwan is very MZ-like and very good at smartphones and computers?" Im Siwan plays the role of Junyoung. It was evaluated as being perfect.

‘I Just Dropped My Smartphone’ was released on Netflix on February 17th.
