Jaehong Ahn, the story of how he gained weight in just one week

On the 7th, distributor Barunson E&A Co., Ltd. released a still of Ahn Jae-hong, who transformed into Kang Yang-hyeon, the new coach of a basketball team on the verge of disbandment, in 'Rebound'.
'Rebound' is a miraculous story of 8 days during the 2012 National High School Basketball Tournament, when a new coach and 6 players of the weakest basketball team that no one paid attention to ran tirelessly.
In the play, Ahn Jae-hong plays Kang Yang-hyeon, who has been selected as the new coach of the Busan Jungang High School basketball team. In the past, Yang Hyeon was a high school basketball MVP, but he bounced around the second division league and is now a coach as a public service worker. He joins the basketball team of his alma mater, Jungang High School, whose reputation has faded, and begins to dream again.

Director Jang Hang-jun, who was in charge of directing, looked for an actor with similar height and body type to embody the character of Coach Kang Yang-hyeon, which is close to reality, and thought Ahn Jae-hong was the right person. In order to meet the production team's expectations, Ahn Jae-hong made special efforts to bring out Coach Kang Yang-hyun's appearance as much as possible.
Ahn Jae-hong gained weight a week after deciding to appear in 'Rebound' and surprised coach Jang Hang-jun by appearing with an appearance similar to the real coach Kang Yang-hyeon. In addition, he not only paid attention to hairstyles and small props, but also thoroughly analyzed all game videos, interviews, and article materials from the time, and learned Coach Kang Yang-hyun's eyes, actions, and hand movements one by one and recreated them to perfection.
Director Jang Hang-jun highly praised the work, saying, "It was an important work to speak without sounding like lines, and in that respect, every scene and cut was very good. I feel good that the humanity he showed in his previous works was clearly revealed in this work."
Meanwhile, 'Rebound' will be released in April.
