Actress IU certified the lovely charm of senior actor Heo Jun-seok.

On the 20th, IU was interviewed for the movie 'Dream' (directed by Lee Byung-hun) at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

On this day, IU sincerely answered the reporter's questions while recalling her memories of 'Dream', which was filmed four years ago. 'Dream', in which IU plays So-min, a passionate documentary producer, depicts the process of a ragtag group of homeless people competing against former national team coach Hong Dae (played by Park Seo-joon) in order to participate in the Homeless World Cup. It is an adaptation of the true story of the 2010 Homeless World Cup, in which Korea participated for the first time.

Regarding this movie, IU said, " It's a warm movie . It's fast-moving and has a lot of interesting elements. I thought it was a heartfelt and warm movie. The harmony was good."

IU, who learned of the existence of the Homeless World Cup while watching this work, said she hopes audiences will also listen to the stories of the homeless through 'Dream'. However, when IU was active in her 20s, she participated in talent donation by taking a pictorial for Big Issue, and she said she was glad to hear the story of Big Issue, which plays a significant part in this work.

"I first learned about the existence of a Homeless World Cup while working on 'Dream'. So I wanted more people to know about it. However, I had taken the cover of Big Issue, so I knew about it. Photographers, stylists, etc. "All activities that take place are done through talent donation. I also agreed with that purpose and filmed it. The image that started with Big Issue was very helpful in understanding this movie."

IU's appearance in 'Dream' received great attention due to her meeting with director Lee Byung-hun and actor Park Seo-joon, which attracted 16.26 million viewers. He said that he couldn't get close to his co-star, Park Seo-joon, even when filming. IU said she had a level of intimacy with Park Seo-joon that was similar to that of a character in a movie. We didn't become close friends during filming, but we became closer when we got back together for a recent promotion 4 years later.

IU said , "I didn't talk to Park Seo-joon much, but I think that tension helped me when filming," and "He was so good to me that I could say I benefited a lot from all the scenes I filmed with Park Seo-joon." I saw.

There was no personal bond with director Lee Byung-hun during filming. IU laughed, saying , “I received a lot of direction from the director, but we weren’t that close during filming.” In relation to this, director Lee Byung-hun also made people laugh by saying , "Because I'm very shy, I couldn't get close to IU. In fact, I was thankful that she didn't talk to me."

However, they are now even closer to each other as they participate in promotional activities with the 'Dream' team. IU smiled and said , “I feel like I’m getting closer to actor Park Seo-joon and the director these days.” He said, "Actually, because I was playing the role of a producer, I was in a blind spot that didn't appear in the camera angle. Senior Heo Jun-seok was also like that, so I got to know him a lot through waiting time."

"All the seniors were playing, but only senior Heo Jun-seok and I were in a blind spot where the angles didn't show well. We talked a lot about this and that, how we live, what our worries are, etc., during the waiting time. I was in a lot of trouble at the time. “I depended on him and had fun working with him.”

IU smiled and said, "Recently, I am gradually becoming closer to the director and actor Park Seo-joon, and at the center of it all is senior Heo Jun-seok. Senior Heo Jun-seok himself is the beloved Heo Jun-seok who is loved everywhere."

Heo Jun-seok, whose lovely charm was confirmed by IU, played the role of In-guk, the secretary general of Big Issue Korea, who plans the Korean team's participation in the Homeless Football World Cup in 'Dream'. Heo Jun-seok, known as 'Lee Byung-hun's division', is loved as a scene stealer in many works with his natural acting.

‘Dream’ will be released on April 26th.
