Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, and IU reveal that 'Dream' is a hit
The movie 'Dream' stopped the 50-day reign of Japanese animation and revitalized Korean theaters.

'Dream' (directed by Lee Byung-hun) ranked first in the daily box office, attracting 93,416 viewers on the day of its release on the 26th. 'Dream', which tells the story of Hong Dae (played by Park Seo-joon), a former soccer player with no sense of purpose, and So-min (played by IU), a passionless producer, challenges an impossible dream with a ragtag group of homeless national team players, is meaningful in director Lee Byung-hun's unique speaking style and humor. The response is that it contains a message and is receiving a positive response from the audience.

Since it is still in the early stages of release, we cannot be confident about its future performance, but it is off to a good start by attracting many audiences on the first day of release. Accordingly, we asked about the box office success of director Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, and IU's 'Dream'.

Director Lee Byung-hun: The directors and people around me are all feeling a tremendous sense of crisis. Now there are no movies of yours or mine. Everyone believes that Korean movies should do well. There are many people who wonder if ‘Dream’ can become a relief pitcher, but there is some pressure as to whether he can. However, even if he is not a relief pitcher, I think he should be able to block at least one inning as a relief pitcher. Still, I'm looking forward to it because there are a lot of good movies coming out in the summer.

Park Seo-joon: There is no pressure. Personally, I have never been satisfied with any work. I think it's because I always see my shortcomings first. Personally, I don't feel much pressure about box office success because I place much more importance on the process than the result. If you look at the whole thing, the better it goes, the better. Above all, I am worried because this work has been left unused for a long time. When it comes to box office success, don’t the three elements have to work well together? Because the timing, situation, and other variables all have to work well. I think that’s why they say it is the will of heaven.

IU: I don't think I'm in a position to play any role in Korean movies. Right now, I'm thinking of doing as much as I can. I try to participate as much as possible in promotions and stage greetings. As a participant in this film, I can clearly see that this film was clearly made with everyone's sincerity in mind. If the sincerity is conveyed, the audience will leave satisfied, so I believe that the step will not be in vain.

They are the ‘Dream’ team, who are feeling the pressure amidst the crisis of Korean cinema, but still want to do their best to convey their sincerity. It remains to be seen whether their sincerity and wishes will resonate with the audience.
