The movie 'Escape: PROJECT SILENCE' (directed by Tae-gon Kim) starring actors Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hee-won has been pre-sold in 140 countries around the world.

According to distributor CJ ENM on the 17th, 'Escape: PROJECT SILENCE' was pre-sold in 140 countries around the world, including France, the United States, Germany, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong, and Japan.

'Escape' was officially invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 76th Cannes International Film Festival, which opened on the 16th (local time). As the Cannes International Film Festival sales market is still active, the number of additional sales countries may increase.

'Escape' attracted attention from overseas buyers even before the Cannes International Film Festival began. With the news of the official invitation to the Cannes International Film Festival, expectations were high for the concept, genre, and scale of the film, which added mysterious material to everyday spaces.

CJ ENM Manager Park Jeong-min, who is in charge of overseas distribution of 'Escape', said, "Buyers are confident in the quality of the film after seeing some of the released footage. It is not limited to one region, and interest from buyers around the world is high." “We are hoping that this Cannes International Film Festival market will lead to sales even in regions where it has not yet been sold, allowing ‘Escape’ to be seen in more countries,” he said.

'Escape' will be released for the first time through a midnight screening held at the Lumière Grand Theater in Cannes, France at 12:30 pm on the 21st. The official screening will be attended by director Kim Yong-hwa, who produced the film, and directors Kim Tae-gon, who directed it, as well as Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hee-won.

'Escape' is the story of people stranded on the Gonghang Bridge, on the verge of collapse, struggling to survive from the unexpected threat lurking within it in a thick fog that makes it impossible to tell what's ahead. After being first released at the Cannes International Film Festival, it is scheduled to meet domestic audiences this year.
