'Criminal City 3', can I wear 10 million crowns this weekend?
According to the integrated computer network for movie theater tickets of the Film Promotion Committee, 'Criminal City 3' (director Lee Sang-yong) mobilized 105,498 spectators on the 15th, and the cumulative number of spectators is 8,262,914.
Since its release on the 31st of last month, 'Criminal City 3' has mobilized audiences to the pre-Corona 19 level and turned on the green light for 10 million films. However, the number of daily audiences on weekdays in the 3rd week averaged 100,000, which is significantly lower than in the 1st and 2nd weeks, when 500,000 and 800,000 audiences were added on weekdays, enjoying the special holiday season.
The industry is predicting that 'Crime City 3' will break through 1 million this weekend or during the week at the earliest.
'Crime City 3' is an irreplaceable monster detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) moves to the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Unit to catch Joo Seong-cheol (Lee Jun-hyuk), who is behind a new drug crime case, and Ricky (Aoki Munetaka), another villain involved in a drug case. It is a film depicting an exhilarating crime-fighting operation for the sake of others.
The second place was 'Flash' with 49,839 viewers and a cumulative audience of 133,636. 'Elemental' is in third place, with 41,845 people mobilized and 93,884 people accumulated. It was followed by 'Transformers: The Rise of the Beast' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3'.
