Nana Komatsu, Kentaro Sakaguchi's '10 Years Remaining', IPTV & VOD service started on the 13th
'The Remaining Ten Years' (director Michihito Fujii) tells the story of 'Matsuri' (Nana Komatsu), who was sentenced to an incurable disease at the age of 20, meets 'Kazuto' (Kentaro Sakaguchi) who lost the will to live, and decorates the four dazzling seasons. It was released on May 24th as a green work.
It is based on the best-selling novel of the same name based on the true story of author Kosaka Ruka. He left the world at a young age ahead of publication, adding to the sadness, and there is a behind-the-scenes story that the novel received explosive attention centered on social media and was made into a film as the circumstances became known.
The role of 'Matsuri', who was sentenced to 10 years of limited life, was played by Nana Komatsu, an actress of the eight colors. Actor Kentaro Sakaguchi has been cast as 'Kazuto', who protects her with pure love. The film was directed by Michihito Fujii, and the four seasons were filmed over a year.
Radwimps, who is one of Japan's leading bands and composed the film music for director Makoto Shinkai's 'Your Name', 'Weathering Child' and 'Suzume's Door Lock', participated in 'The Remaining 10 Years of Life'. Radwimps composed the main theme song before filming, so that the actors and staff could listen to the music while filming.
The theme song 'Uruubito' is a song that compares the fate of a leap month that comes once every four years and a matsuri who only lives 1/4 of the average life expectancy. The lyrics and music video depicting Kazuto's sincerity are also included in the film's epilogue.
'The remaining 10 years of life' has been a success through word of mouth, recording a high seat sales rate with support from the 1020 generation. From the 13th, simultaneous IPTV and VOD services in theaters will begin. Both the audience who wanted to see it again and the prospective audience who have not yet watched the movie can watch the movie through the service.
