1st place on the 18th day, ‘Elemental’, will the word-of-mouth myth come to an end… 'Mission 7' premieres today
While the movie 'Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One' was released, the movie 'Elemental' is keeping the number one spot for 18 consecutive days.

According to the Korea Film Promotion Commission's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets, 'Elemental' (director Peter Sohn) mobilized 69,009 viewers on the 11th, recording a cumulative audience of 3,553,426.

'Elemental' tells the story of Amber, who is witty and full of passion like fire, meeting Wade, who is pleasant and emotional, and builds a special friendship in 'Element City', where the four elements of fire, water, air, and earth live.

As 'Elemental' is based on the story of a Korean immigrant, it is performing exceptionally well in Korea. In particular, based on strong word of mouth, the number of audiences gradually increased, showing a graph that accumulated 3.51 million viewers as of 1:30 pm on the 11th. Through this, it has surpassed Disney-Pixar's animation 'Coco' and ranked second after 'Inside Out', which shines at No. 1 in Korea.

However, with 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One' (director Christopher McQuarrie, hereinafter referred to as 'Mission: Impossible 7') being released on the 12th, it is unclear whether such box office success can continue. As of 7:30 am on the 12th, the reservation rate of 'Mission: Impossible 7' is 64.9%.

This work is evaluated as a work that contains the essence of action completed by Tom Cruise himself. Not only does the analog action we are familiar with embroider the screen, but the large-scale action scene of diving off a cliff on a bike is the highlight of this movie, and it seems to steal the eyes of many viewers.

The second place is 'Crime City 3' (director Lee Sang-yong), with 19,044 viewers, and is on a long run even after surpassing 10 million viewers. Third place was 'Indiana Jones: Dial of Destiny' (director James Mangold), which attracted 15,452 viewers and accumulated 823,632. In fourth place was 'Spider-Man: Across the Universe' (director Joakim Dos Santos) with 14,234 views. In 5th place was the Taiwanese film 'Summer Day' (Director: Tian Han) with 8,624 people. This movie is a remake of our movie 'Your Wedding' (director Lee Seok-geun), starring Heo Gwang-han and Jang Yak-nam.
