Actor Seol Kyung-gu, "Thank you for directing the movie 'The Moon' director Kim Yong-hwa"

Seol Kyung-gu, an actor in the movie 'The Moon', explained that director Kim Yong-hwa, whom he worked with, has a childlike part, and he was rather comfortable acting.

On the 1st, Seol Kyung-gu started an interview about the movie 'The Moon' (director Kim Yong-hwa) at a cafe in Anguk-dong, Seoul.

'The Moon' is a movie depicting the desperate struggle between Seon-woo (Do Kyung-soo), a space crew member stranded on the moon due to an accident, and Jae-gook (Sol Kyung-gu), the former head of the space center desperately trying to save him. With the movie 'Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds' (2017) reaching 14 million cumulative audiences and ' Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days' (2018) reaching 12 million cumulative audiences, 'Ssangcheonman' director Directed by director Kim Yong-hwa. Seol Kyung-gu plays Jae-guk, the former head of the center, who returns to save Seon-woo, who was isolated on the moon.

Regarding his impression of working with director Kim Yong-hwa, he explained, "There is a childlike part. It seems that he is a style that expresses himself as it is. At first, I was very embarrassed. I didn't go too far during the filming, but I quickly sped up." He also mentioned the actor Cho Hyun-cheol and the episode. He expressed affection, saying, “The director laughed and then cried when he saw the scene of actor Jo Hyun-cheol. That is a part I am really grateful for.”

17 years ago, the movie 'Oh! Kim Yong-hwa of 'Brothers' (director Kim Yong-hwa) said at the production briefing that he once saw Seol Kyung-gu during the filming of 'Oasis' and said, 'Let's work together next time'. Recalling his rookie days, he explained, "I think I received the script for 'Oh Brothers' through the production company. Director Kim Yong-hwa said he was right. I couldn't do it because the schedule didn't match, but it was a pity. I was so grateful to be a box office director 17 years later."

Then, when asked if he would be willing to appear in Season 2 of 'The Moon', he said, "It seems that there is no plan for Season 2. Kim Jae-guk will not come back because he trusted his juniors and went to Sobaek Mountain." He also said honestly about box office success, "I'd be lying if I said no."

Recently, so-called tent poles (aka blockbuster movies) such as 'Smuggling', 'The Moon', 'Unofficial Operation', and 'Concrete Utopia' are competing to be released. He revealed an anecdote that he was puzzled by, saying, "I thought 'why is this happening', having never been to the summer market." Seol Kyung-gu said that the differentiated part of 'The Moon' is a movie that can be watched with the family, and said, "Actress Kim Hee-ae's mother came to the media. I think 'The Moon' is a good place for parents and families to come," he explained.

The movie 'The Moon' will be released on August 2nd.
