Actor Kim Jae-wook Reveals Why He Turned Down a Passionate Romance with Chae Jung-an
On the 27th, a video titled 'Divorced and Single? With Chae Jung-an and Kim Jae-wook' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Chae Jung-an TV'.
Kim Jae-wook started the video with a playful atmosphere. Chae Jung-an mentioned, "Even though I usually decline requests to appear, Kim Jae-wook personally wanted to come on the show." To this, Kim Jae-wook humorously responded, "Kim Dong-wook appeared twice, and I'm only being invited now?"
Kim Jae-wook shared, "She was more like a brother than a sister," and added, "Her reliable and loyal nature made me naturally call her 'hyung' (older brother)."
The conversation naturally shifted to marriage and family. Chae Jung-an commented, "Seeing Kim Jae-wook's family-oriented parents, I thought he would marry early," and humorously asked, "How have you not married once in 20 years?"
In a past interview for the movie 'Two Rooms, Two Nights' (2015), Chae Jung-an expressed a desire to film a passionate romance with the 'sexy' Kim Jae-wook, to which he firmly responded, "A passionate romance is impossible."
Kim Jae-wook explained, "You don't do that with family," and Chae Jung-an admitted, "I said it to tease him. Looking back, it was a small tyranny, almost like domestic violence."
Meanwhile, Kim Jae-wook stars in the tvN weekend drama 'Secret Inspector', which premiered on the 25th. The series is a romantic comedy about a charismatic inspector with secrets, Joo In-ah (played by Shin Hye-sun), and ace No Gi-jun (played by Gong Myung), who is demoted to handle internal scandals.
