IU and Lee Yeon Share Heartwarming Moments from Jeju Trip and Friendship

Actresses IU and Lee Yeon recently shared delightful stories from their Jeju trip and heartwarming anecdotes about each other.

On the 27th, the YouTube channel 'Cosmopolitan Korea' released a video titled '21st Century Grand Lady | IU vs Lee Yeon Aegyo Battle?' featuring IU and Lee Yeon, who are currently starring in the drama '21st Century Grand Lady.' The video showcased the duo candidly discussing behind-the-scenes moments and their personal lives.

IU and Lee Yeon displayed their chemistry beyond the set, revealing that they went on a '1-night, 2-day trip to Jeju Island' with fellow actor Yoo Soo-bin.

IU shared, 'We had a short trip but enjoyed delicious foods like black pork and squid noodles, and even climbed an oreum. We thought it would be a light walk, but it turned out to be almost three hours.' Lee Yeon corrected her, saying, 'No, it was about an hour and a half,' to which IU humorously insisted, 'No, please, it was about two and a half hours.'

The two actresses also shared touching moments that strengthened their bond. Lee Yeon recalled, 'When I stayed over at IU's house, she woke up earlier than usual to prepare fruits and sweet potatoes for me, even though she's a night owl. She quietly prepared everything and told me to eat before going back to sleep. It was so touching.'

IU reciprocated the praise, saying, 'Whenever I prepare something, she always does the dishes at lightning speed. Even as a guest, she does things she doesn't have to do. She even folds pajamas and towels neatly like a hotel. It shows what kind of life she's lived, and I like her even more for it.'

In a playful video message, Lee Yeon teased, '(Yoo) Soo-bin oppa, aren't you jealous? We're having so much fun filming here. You used to get jealous whenever we had fun, but today was especially fun. I miss you, Soo-bin oppa. I don't love you, but I like you.'

Meanwhile, IU recently appeared on MBC's 'I Live Alone' with Lee Yeon and Yoo Soo-bin, expressing gratitude, 'Thank you for coming to my grandfather's funeral. You two were the only friends who came. I was touched that you came right away.'
