Former KBS Announcer Lee Hye-seong Becomes Honorary Member of Korean Baking Association
Former KBS announcer and current broadcaster Lee Hye-seong has been appointed as an honorary member of the Korean Baking Masters Association.

On the 21st, Lee Hye-seong shared the news on her social media, posting, "I have been appointed as an honorary member of the Korean Baking Masters Association," along with several photos. The photos show Lee dressed in a pristine white chef's uniform, meticulously examining bread and filling out a judging form. In another photo, she is seen smiling brightly while holding her certificate of appointment. The certificate reads, "You are appointed as a judge for the '2026 Korea International Bakery Fair Competition' (6th Korea Master Baker Team Championship) to discover outstanding talents in the baking industry."

Lee expressed her excitement, saying, "I'm still thrilled. When I was young, visiting famous bakeries, I always admired the prestigious (Korean Baking Masters) mark." She added, "As a bread lover, it was a joyful day to endlessly taste high-quality bread," and expressed her determination to actively participate as an honorary member.

Previously, Lee faced controversy over her qualifications before appearing on the MBN variety show 'Bread Master.' The show's producers clarified during a press conference on January 30th that Lee had passed the same document screening as other participants.

Lee Hye-seong was selected as a KBS announcer in the 43rd open recruitment but resigned in 2020. She gained recognition by reaching the top 10 in the recently concluded 'Bread Master.' During her appearance, she revealed, "After passing the announcer exam, I once gained 10kg from binge eating," and shared her passion for baking, stating, "I obtained my baking certification five years ago and have traveled to San Francisco and attended classes from various experts solely to study bread." She is currently known to be continuing her baking work in a small studio.
