Red Velvet's Wendy Tops Poll as Most Desired Karaoke Date
The poll, conducted by TenAsia from the 13th to the 19th, asked participants, 'Which female singer would you like to go on a karaoke date with?' Wendy emerged as the top choice. Last month, a video surfaced on online communities and social media showing Wendy performing a congratulatory song at a wedding. During her performance, Wendy shared, "I debuted in August 2014, and that's when I first met the bride. It's been almost 12 years. Back then, the bride often came to support me with candy gifts." This revelation of Wendy singing for a long-time fan added a heartwarming touch to the event.
In second place was Girls' Generation's Yuri. Kwon Yuri is currently starring in the play 'THE WASP' at the S Theater in the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. 'The Wasp' is a two-person play about two former classmates, Heather and Carla, reuniting after 20 years. Yuri plays the role of Carla, a character who is living a rough life, smoking and swearing despite being pregnant with her fifth child.
Third place went to Girls' Generation's Yoona. On the 18th, Yoona threw the first pitch at the '2026 Pro Baseball' game between the Doosan Bears and the KIA Tigers. Returning to the mound after 11 years, Yoona explained her choice of jersey number 1, saying, "I hope the Doosan Bears finish first this season, and I wish for a win in today's game."
