Lee Jong-won Celebrates Success of 'Salmoji' with Heartfelt Gratitude

Actor Lee Jong-won has expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming interest and love for 'Salmoji'. Previously, he starred in the 2024 ENA drama 'Intoxicating Romance', which concluded with a 1.8% viewership rating. Alongside Kim Hye-yoon, Lee's latest film 'Salmoji' is currently enjoying box office success.

Released on the 8th, 'Salmoji' surpassed its break-even point within seven days of its premiere and has attracted over 1 million viewers in just 10 days. The film follows a crew that ventures to a reservoir to capture a mysterious figure seen on a road view, only to encounter something lurking beneath the water.

In the film, Lee Jong-won plays Yoon Ki-tae, a PD at a road view company. His character joins the 'Salmoji' team to save his colleague and former lover, Han Soo-in (played by Kim Hye-yoon). Lee's stable acting and versatile transformation have added the right amount of tension to the screen, earning praise from audiences.

Achieving the milestone of 1 million viewers with his first lead role in a feature film, Lee Jong-won shared, "I am very happy and thrilled that the hard work and effort put in by so many people for the film have been recognized. The 'Salmoji' team, led by the director, had such a great atmosphere and perfect teamwork, which I believe contributed to the film's success."
