Comedian Lee Su-ji Satirizes Fake News Targeting Middle-Aged Audiences
Comedian Lee Su-ji has taken her satire from kindergarten teachers to targeting fake news aimed at middle-aged audiences.

On the 14th, the YouTube channel 'Hot Issue Ji' released a video titled 'Poet Hwang Jeong-ja's Delightful Day [Silver Golden Age].' In the video, Lee Su-ji makes a dramatic transformation with a permed hairstyle, donning a fur coat and red glasses to portray the middle-aged poet 'Hwang Jeong-ja.'

In the skit, Hwang Jeong-ja goes shopping at a department store with Na Bok-ja, a character with a background from the show 'Morning Yard.' The duo attempts to keep up with trends by visiting restaurants and cafes, yet they can't hide their middle-aged mannerisms and habits.

A standout moment occurs when Hwang Jeong-ja encounters fake news. She is shocked by a celebrity death rumor circulating on YouTube, exclaiming, "It says someone who appeared on TV this morning has died." The production team clarifies, "It's fake news. You shouldn't believe it," to which she responds angrily, "People who make such lies should be jailed."

As she browses other news, she questions, "So, is this person's divorce also a lie? Why is there smoke without fire?" This perfectly captures the tendency of middle-aged individuals to be easily swayed by misinformation. Viewers commented, "It reminds me of my parents," and "It's funny yet bittersweet."

Previously, on the 7th, Lee Su-ji gained attention for parodying the challenges faced by kindergarten teachers in a video titled 'Kindergarten Teacher Lee Min-ji's Endless 24 Hours [Human Documentary Real Extreme Job].' This video surpassed 2.4 million views within two days of its release, proving its impact.
