K-Pop Star Hwasa Overcomes Second-Degree Burn to Perform: Shares Her Experience
On October 14, Hwasa appeared on MBC FM4U's 'Kim Shin-young's Noon Song of Hope' where she discussed Mamamoo's future plans and recounted the incident.
During the broadcast, a listener inquired if Hwasa had performed while injured. Hwasa explained that she burned her foot while moving a steam humidifier, spilling hot water in the process.
She detailed the incident, saying, "I was moving a steam humidifier and spilled water, which I stepped on. Fortunately, it only touched my foot and not my body." She added, "I was naked while moving the humidifier, which helped me avoid a more severe burn."
Hwasa visited the emergency room immediately after the accident and received treatment. She assured fans of her current health, stating, "It was a second-degree burn, but I am fully healed now." She continued, "My skin was darkened for a while, but now there are hardly any traces left."
Previously, Hwasa shared this story on the web variety show 'Salon Drip,' revealing she stepped on water from a steam humidifier heated over 100 degrees the day before a performance.
Meanwhile, Mamamoo is set to celebrate their 12th anniversary with a full group comeback and a world tour in June.
