Comedian Shin Ki-ru Opens Up About Life After Mother's Passing
On October 8, Shin took to her Instagram to express her feelings, stating, "It's harder than I thought, sadder than I thought, and more overwhelming than I thought." She continued, "Nothing is going as I imagined, but I will try to get through it."
Shin revealed her physical state, saying, "I lost my appetite along with my mom, resulting in a total weight loss of 2.9kg."
In her signature comedic style, Shin added, "Today, it seems like my appetite is slowly returning, but my libido is still absent."
Shin's mother passed away on the evening of September 17 due to deteriorating health at the age of 68. The day after the funeral, Shin expressed her grief on social media, saying, "I, who couldn't even set up a funeral, have now held one."
Born in 1981, Shin Ki-ru is 44 years old. She debuted in 2005 on KBS2's 'Gag Concert' and was later selected as a comedian for SBS in 2007. In 2019, she married a non-celebrity who is one year older than her, and they have no children.
