Comedian Kim Ji-min Opens Up About IVF Journey and Marriage on 'Jjanhyung Shin Dong-yup'
On the 23rd, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhyung Shin Dong-yup' featured comedians Kim Jun-ho, Kim Ji-min, and actress Jung Yi-rang, who shared candid conversations.
During the show, Kim Ji-min shared her current experience with IVF treatment. She said, "I can't drink alcohol while undergoing IVF, so I needed an outlet. If I don't, I might get depressed or irritable, so I started cooking and got completely hooked." She added, "I keep thinking about what to cook for my husband the next day."
The reality of the IVF process was also discussed. Kim Jun-ho mentioned, "This process is really tough on women. They have to get injections for 10 days straight." Kim Ji-min added, "I get injections twice in the morning and once in the afternoon. Usually, the husband gives them, but I got bruises only where my husband injected."
She continued, "The injection should be at a 90-degree angle to avoid pain, but from my husband's perspective, 90 degrees was 45 degrees for me. So, I started doing it myself." Kim Jun-ho admitted, "I couldn't even do that properly. I was trembling," which brought laughter.
Jung Yi-rang shared, "My husband asked Kim Jun-ho if it was okay to do everything on broadcast, and he jokingly replied, 'Why would I marry her if not for that?'"
Kim Ji-min expressed, "The proposal was broadcasted, and so was the wedding. I wondered if even childbirth would be, and next week, we're filming 'My Little Old Boy.'" Kim Jun-ho, with an awkward smile, advised, "Just think of it as 'The Truman Show,'" bringing more laughter.
