Single's Inferno 5 Star Choi Min-a-su Opens Up About Wearing Luxury Jewelry on the Show
On the 22nd, the YouTube channel 'Psick Univ' released a video titled 'Asking Single's Inferno's Choi Min-a-su About Spoilers with a Man Living Like a King.' In the video, Choi appeared as a guest and shared behind-the-scenes stories of her appearance on 'Single's Inferno 5' with comedians Kim Min-su, Lee Yong-ju, and Jung Jae-hyung.
During the video, Choi addressed the fashion that garnered attention during the show's airing. When Lee Yong-ju asked about the blue one-shoulder patterned dress she wore, Choi explained, "The dress was provided by 'Single's Inferno.' The bracelet in the photo is my mom's, and the necklace is the only thing that's mine. My mom gave it to me as a graduation gift." She further revealed that all the clothes she wore, including off-shoulder dresses and tops, were from SPA brands, surprising many.
A particularly noteworthy moment was when Choi shared the story behind wearing jewelry worth approximately 300 million KRW during filming. She confirmed that all the accessories she wore were from high-end luxury brands but clarified, "They all belong to my mom and her friends." She admitted, "I often borrow from acquaintances." Choi also mentioned a necklace worth around 20 million KRW from her first appearance, denying ownership of it.
Choi revealed that her mother works in the fashion industry, saying, "'Single's Inferno' requires a hot appearance, so I had to prepare a lot of outfits. I prepared most of them, but my mom and her friends helped." She also shared that her mom tailored the yellow dress she wore during her first appearance, saying, "The dress was too big for me, but my mom adjusted it to emphasize the silhouette."
Previously, Choi caught attention on 'Single's Inferno 5' by wearing a 60 million KRW bracelet, 4 million KRW earrings, and a 100 million KRW diamond bracelet. A netizen's analysis suggested that the total value of the accessories she wore on the show amounted to approximately 320 million KRW, sparking interest.
Meanwhile, Choi Min-a-su gained recognition as the winner of the 2021 Miss Korea pageant and the 2022 Miss Earth titleholder. She appeared on Netflix's 'Single's Inferno 5,' released in January, which brought her into the spotlight. It was later revealed that she is the niece of the late luxury review YouTuber 'Coco Choi,' who passed away two years ago after battling cancer, leading to speculation about her affluent background.
