K-Pop Star Park Ji-hyun Celebrates 3rd Anniversary and Reveals Behind-the-Scenes of Debut Album 'MASTER VOICE'
Park Ji-hyun kicked off the show by celebrating her 3rd debut anniversary, which she marked just a week ago. Currently promoting her first full-length album 'MASTER VOICE', she shared her recent experience as the MC of MBN's 'K-Trot Chart'. She mentioned, "Explaining the flow of trot music isn't difficult, but speaking in standard Korean according to the script is the hardest part." She humorously asked Kim Shin-young, who is known for her dialect skills, "Do you commute from Jeolla-do?", bringing laughter to the studio.
The conversation then shifted to her debut album. Park Ji-hyun expressed, "I wanted to capture many people's lives," and explained that she aimed to convey various emotions and touching moments on stage. She added, "Since it's my first full-length album, I invested a lot of thought and effort into the performances, and I believe it was the right choice," expressing her satisfaction.
Discussing the tracks on her album, Park Ji-hyun said, "I have so much affection for each song that I consider them all title tracks." She shared the backstory of 'Manmul Truck', describing it as "a lively song with a strong trot vibe, and finding the right tone was challenging." She explained that she wanted to capture the warm and kind feeling of the 'Manmul Truck' man she often saw at markets in her hometown. She then performed 'Manmul Truck' live, showcasing her unique vocal style and energetic performance, elevating the atmosphere.
Regarding the album's tracks, she mentioned, "Listening to the songs reminds me of my first love," and when asked about the worst breakup by a listener, she candidly shared, "Between ghosting and rebound breakups, ghosting is worse. A rebound at least has closure, but ghosting leaves you waiting in vain," resonating with the audience.
Park Ji-hyun also expressed her excitement for the upcoming nationwide tour 'Showmanship Season 2'. She stated, "After 'Showmanship Season 1', expectations have risen, and I'm preparing even harder," adding, "Really look forward to it," boosting fans' anticipation for the performances.
