Former Rhythmic Gymnast Son Yeon-jae Shares Adorable Moment with Son Amidst Luxury Brand Controversy

Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae recently shared a glimpse into her daily life with her son.

On the 18th, Son Yeon-jae posted a photo on her Instagram story without any caption.

The photo shows Son Yeon-jae enjoying a meal with her son. Next to her son, there is a plastic tray and cup featuring cartoon characters, while Son Yeon-jae is seen wearing luxury brand C rings on her middle and ring fingers.

Previously, Son Yeon-jae faced criticism from some netizens after uploading a video celebrating her third wedding anniversary on her YouTube channel, where she was adorned in luxury brand items from accessories to clothing. She also sparked controversy during the same year by showcasing a hotel cake priced at 380,000 KRW for Christmas.

Son Yeon-jae married a non-celebrity finance professional, nine years her senior, in 2022 and gave birth to a son in February 2024. In November 2023, it was revealed that she and her husband jointly purchased a standalone house in Itaewon, Seoul, for 7.2 billion KRW, drawing public attention. After retiring, Son Yeon-jae has been running a rhythmic gymnastics academy, focusing on nurturing athletes. She has also recently launched a YouTube channel to connect with her audience.

Son Yeon-jae's non-celebrity husband is known to be the CEO of Ulysses Capital, a family house based in Los Angeles, USA. The company reportedly managed over 2 trillion KRW in assets with its proprietary account as of the first quarter of 2021, operating as a global hedge fund.
