Koyote's Shinji Opens Up About Wedding Dilemmas and Costs Ahead of May Nuptials

Koyote's Shinji, who is set to tie the knot this May, shared her thoughts on wedding ceremonies.

On the 18th, Shinji's YouTube channel 'What Shinji Thinks' featured a video titled 'Do These Concerns Even Come Up? Answered Honestly.'

In the video, a fan contemplating a 'no-wedding' approach before their marriage reached out. Shinji empathized, saying, "I also wondered if a wedding ceremony is truly necessary." However, she acknowledged, "It's not an easy decision as parents often wish to publicly announce their child's marriage."

Shinji highlighted the issue of wedding costs, stating, "Since there's no fixed price, costs can skyrocket with additional options like floral decorations. This is why the term 'weddingflation' (wedding + inflation) is used. As of January this year, the average contract amount for wedding services is 20.88 million won, with prices in the Gangnam area exceeding 31 million won."

She confessed, "The numerous additional costs during the preparation process made me think, 'I wish we didn't have a wedding.'" Shinji concluded by advising, "If you prioritize your living environment, a no-wedding approach can be a wise choice. However, it's important to discuss it thoroughly with your parents."

Shinji is preparing to marry singer Moon Won, who is seven years her junior, this May.
