Trot Queens Song Ga-in and Yang Ji-eun Celebrate Their Special Friendship

Trot queens Song Ga-in and Yang Ji-eun showcased their beautiful friendship.

On the 16th, Song Ga-in's YouTube channel featured a video titled, '"I Became a Singer Because of You" - The First Appearance of Song Ga-in's Trot Sister Yang Ji-eun! Unheard Stories of the Queens.'

In the video, Song Ga-in visited a Korean restaurant and invited a special dining companion, trot singer Yang Ji-eun. The two have a unique connection as winners of 'Miss Trot' Season 1 and Season 2.

Song Ga-in and Yang Ji-eun expressed their joy, saying, "We planned to meet for a meal, but couldn't due to the busy event season. We're finally meeting today." The production team noted, "Yang Ji-eun is the first younger sister to appear among the juniors," and supported their meaningful meeting.

Yang Ji-eun, who considers Song Ga-in her role model, shared, "After my child was born, I was in a period where I couldn't sleep well. One day, I turned on the TV and saw Song Ga-in singing on 'Miss Trot.'"

She continued, "When she sang the first verse of 'Han Manyeon Daedonggang,' I was mesmerized. Even when my child cried or asked for food, I kept watching that stage. From then on, I started singing along at home."

Encouraged by her husband, Yang Ji-eun auditioned for Season 2 and expressed gratitude, saying, "My life completely changed after that."

Regarding their first meeting, Yang Ji-eun said, "I thought we would meet during the 'Miss Trot 2' filming, but we didn't. We met by chance in Dongdaemun." Song Ga-in recalled, "Even though I was wearing a hat and mask, she recognized me immediately."

Song Ga-in praised her direct junior, Yang Ji-eun, saying, "She is always polite and kind. She is a truly good person. Elders can see who is genuine and who is not."

Song Ga-in surprised Yang Ji-eun with a luxury shopping bag containing a hairpin made by Song Ga-in herself. She explained, "I used mint-colored stones, which is the color of Ji-eun's fan club, and it symbolizes soaring high like a bird."

Yang Ji-eun expressed her gratitude, saying, "This is the first gift made by a senior. I want to keep it forever and pass it on to my daughter." She added, "Song Ga-in changed my life and my family's life."

Meanwhile, Song Ga-in stated, "When I see juniors who say they dreamed of becoming singers because of me, I feel a sense of responsibility. I want to pave the way for them to walk on a path of success. If I had to send someone to the stage instead of me, it would be Yang Ji-eun. She is a singer I trust and listen to."
