K-Pop Star Lee Hyori's Heartwarming Gift to a Young Man with Developmental Disabilities
On November 9th, the YouTube channel 'Abo Peach' released a video titled 'Why Hyori Unnie Gifted Ji-hyun a Coat | Behind-the-Scenes with Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon at Mongle Counseling Center.' The video features Oh Ji-hyun, a participant from the SBS program 'Mongle Counseling Center,' sharing her experiences filming with Lee Hyori.
Oh Ji-hyun had the opportunity to meet Lee Hyori weekly for a month while filming 'Mongle Counseling Center,' where she received dating advice. Reflecting on her experience, Oh Ji-hyun said, "When I entered the set, Hyori and Sang-soon greeted me warmly. Seeing Hyori in person was awe-inspiring; she was incredibly beautiful," she shared, adding humorously, "Even with wrinkles, she's stunning."
Oh Ji-hyun couldn't hold back her admiration for Lee Hyori, describing her as "charismatic, charming, and incredibly kind." She recalled, "While shopping, I wanted to call her 'unnie' (older sister). When I asked if I could, she coolly replied, 'Of course.'" She also mentioned, "We took photos together with Hyori's phone, but I regret not asking for her number or autograph."
The highlight of the video was Oh Ji-hyun recounting how Lee Hyori gifted her a coat. "While taking photos, Hyori unnie's coat was too big for her. She said, 'It's too big for me, you should wear it,'" Oh Ji-hyun shared, adding that she still wears the coat with fondness. She posed in the gifted coat, expressing her affection for Lee Hyori.
'Mongle Counseling Center' is a groundbreaking reality show featuring adults with developmental disabilities seeking dating advice from Lee Hyori and her husband, Lee Sang-soon. This marks the couple's first joint appearance on a show since 'Hyori's Homestay' aired eight years ago.
