Actress Lim Ji-yeon Plans to Remove Eyeliner Tattoo: 'It's Too Dark and Permanent'
On the YouTube channel 'Jo Hyun-ah's Ordinary Thursday Night,' a video titled 'Ji-yeon, how long will you stay beautiful? Next year? The year after?' was uploaded on the 30th.
In the video, Lim Ji-yeon expressed her desire to remove the eyeliner tattoo she got in her 20s. She shared, "I got a semi-permanent eyeliner tattoo with a friend when I was 20. I didn't know how to do makeup back then, so I thought, 'If I get this, I won't need to wear makeup every day.'"
When Jo Hyun-ah expressed concern about losing eyelashes, Lim Ji-yeon responded, "I've heard there's a laser removal method, but it causes significant swelling, so I need a long break." She emphasized, "I can't do it now because of filming, but I will definitely remove it as soon as this project is over."
Known for her intense villain role in 'The Glory,' Lim Ji-yeon shared, "People often tell me I have a gentle appearance in real life. I frequently hear that I look kinder than expected," bringing laughter.
Declaring she will do whatever she wants, Lim Ji-yeon promised to travel with Jo Hyun-ah, saying, "Fame? I dodge well on the streets. If I look a bit off, people think, 'That can't be Lim Ji-yeon,' and no one recognizes me," sharing her disguise tips with laughter.
Meanwhile, Lim Ji-yeon will star in the upcoming SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Brave New World,' premiering on May 8, where she will play dual roles as the Joseon villain 'Kang Dan-sim' and the modern-day unknown actress 'Shin Se-ri' in a possession romance.
