Reality Star Seong Hae-eun Reveals Extreme Diet Journey for Airline Job
On October 4th, Seong shared her weight loss secrets in a video titled 'Seong Hae-eun's Diet Tips: From 70kg to 50kg!' on her YouTube channel 'Haeppy Hae-eun'. She candidly stated, "I've tried every diet imaginable."
Seong explained, "During my time as a flight attendant, I weighed over 70kg at 170cm tall. I gained weight rapidly," and added, "I have a lot to say about managing my body through dieting." She openly discussed her dieting journey.
Seong revealed, "I first attempted a proper diet while preparing to become a flight attendant," and mentioned her previous work as a fitting model. "Back then, I barely ate and reduced my weight to 50kg at 170cm. There was a saying that a flight attendant's weight should be 120 when subtracted from their height. So, I attended interviews at 50kg," she confessed.
The video caption noted, 'Although I looked pretty, I was just starving myself, which led to hives and dizziness.' Seong shared that despite incorporating weight training after joining the airline, her weight increased due to consuming in-flight meals. "I kept increasing my uniform size until there was only one size left," she said, adding humor to her story.
She recalled, "I've tried everything from fasting, intermittent fasting, protein-only diets, to no-carb diets. Intermittent fasting turned into intermittent binge eating. Starving does lead to weight loss, but it eventually results in a rebound." She advised, "Consume dietary fiber, protein, and carbohydrates in that order. This slows down carbohydrate absorption, leading to a gradual increase in blood sugar." She also mentioned, "Powerful exercises like CrossFit suit me well. It's good to try various workouts and choose one that interests you to pursue seriously."
Meanwhile, former Korean Air flight attendant Seong Hae-eun has transitioned to a career as an influencer and YouTuber after her appearance on 'Transit Love 2'.
