Influencer Moon Jung-won Resumes Social Media Activity After Nearly Four Years
On March 3rd, Moon posted several photos on her Instagram with the caption, "It's already March. 2026." The photos featured flowers, landscapes, and glimpses of her daily life in Canada, including a picture that appeared to show the back of a child, hinting at her family's current status.
This marks Moon's first social media post since August 2022, ending a hiatus of approximately 3 years and 7 months. Some netizens expressed their delight, commenting, "It's nice to see you again after such a long time," and "Glad to see the kids seem to be doing well."
However, not all reactions were positive. Some online users expressed criticism, stating, "I don't want to see her again," and "The controversies were too significant." There is also speculation that her return to social media might signal a comeback to broadcasting.
In response, Moon issued a handwritten apology, acknowledging, "I know that I brought these situations upon myself. I will take time to reflect on myself," and announced her intention to halt her activities.
Her husband, Lee Hwi-jae, also faced criticism for his behavior on past broadcasts, with accusations of rudeness towards fellow entertainers at award shows and variety programs.
Ultimately, Lee Hwi-jae ceased his broadcasting activities in 2022, and the family relocated to Vancouver, Canada.
