Comedian Lee Yong-jin's Unintentional Lavish Wedding Gift and Family Anecdotes

Comedian Lee Yong-jin unintentionally gave an extravagant gift at Shin Ki-ru's wedding, as revealed on the YouTube show 'Salon Drip' hosted by Jang Do-yeon on the 24th. Lee Yong-jin and dancer Gabee were the featured guests.

During the episode, Lee Yong-jin shared that he gifted "one nyang of gold" at Shin Ki-ru's wedding. Currently, one nyang of gold is valued at approximately 9 million KRW (around $7,500 USD). He humorously lamented, "I didn't expect gold prices to rise this much. I wish I could get half of it back."

When asked why he chose gold over cash, Lee explained, "I wanted it to be something they could keep." He added, "If I had known gold prices would soar, I would have bought some for myself."

Lee Yong-jin jokingly asked his peer Jang Do-yeon, "Isn't it time for you to get married?" To which she replied, "Why bring up such an unlucky topic at the start of the year?" She then asked if he would give her a nyang of gold for her wedding. Lee humorously responded, "Not now. Maybe a gold tooth."

In contrast, Gabee expressed her eagerness to marry soon, saying, "I want to have children. People around me say you need to marry early to have kids because it's physically demanding. I want to participate in my child's sports day."

Lee Yong-jin shared a story about his 8-year-old son, revealing, "While I was asleep, my son used my phone. He saw Yoo Jae-suk, whom I worked with on 'Syncro You,' and sent a picture of his friend Haena to him."

Upon discovering this, Lee immediately called Yoo Jae-suk to apologize, explaining, "It might be hard to believe, but my 7-year-old son sent it." Yoo Jae-suk graciously responded, "These things happen."

Lee Yong-jin expressed his reluctance to appear on TV with his family, saying, "For some reason, I don't want to do broadcasts with my family." He humorously added that if his son wanted to appear on a show, he could be one of the zombies in a group shot.

Meanwhile, comedian Lee Yong-jin married his non-celebrity girlfriend of seven years in April 2019, and they have one son together.
