Korean Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu Delights Fans with Heartwarming Gesture
On the 18th, Jang shared a post on his social media account, stating, "I often receive DMs asking for money, and I usually don't send any due to my principle of not engaging in financial transactions. However, this cute New Year's greeting touched my heart. This will be my first and last financial transaction with a follower." Along with this message, he posted a photo.
The photo revealed a message from a fan who wrote, "Sung-kyu hyung, have a great Lunar New Year and stay healthy. I love you. Can you send me 1,000 won via K-Bank? I want to buy a cup of Yukgaejang ramen." Jang responded by actually transferring 1,000 won to the account and shared the transaction screenshot, saying, "Sent it. Enjoy your meal and stay strong this year." He added hashtags like 'HappinessWith1000Won' and 'BeCautiousWithMoneyTransactions.'
Additionally, Jang uploaded more interactions with fans from the same day. He commented, "There are many amusing DMs. I was surprised to find out that I could be an ideal type for a high school girl. As for the last friend, I'm not sure if they want a reply or not, so I'll hold off for now."
One high school fan wrote, "Jang Sung-kyu oppa, I'm a sophomore, and you've been my ideal type since you appeared on 'Knowing Bros.' You're really handsome, tall, and funny. I'm so envious of your wife. I'll always support you." Jang replied, "Find someone better than me. Good luck!"
Jang Sung-kyu married his elementary school classmate, Lee Yoo-mi, in May 2014, and they have two sons. In 2021, he purchased a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 6.5 billion won. The building's current value is estimated to exceed 10 billion won.
