On October 8th, Kang Daniel took to his social media account to share a post saying, “I’ll be back,” along with a photo.

In the photo, Kang Daniel is seen with a freshly shaved head, a look he adopted for his mandatory military service. He also shared a video with fans, sporting his new buzz cut.

Kang Daniel officially enlisted in the South Korean army on October 9th as an active-duty soldier. He will undergo basic military training followed by approximately 18 months of service.

Kang Daniel rose to fame in 2017 after winning first place on Mnet's audition program 'Produce 101 Season 2', debuting as the center of the group Wanna One.
