On the 29th, ADOR released an official statement detailing the ongoing discussions regarding the return of NewJeans members.
Following the confirmation of the court's ruling on the validity of the exclusive contracts, ADOR engaged in conversations with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and their families.
As a result, Hanni has decided to return to ADOR. The agency stated, "Hanni visited Korea with her family and engaged in deep discussions with ADOR over an extended period. During this time, they revisited past events and took an objective view of the situation. After sincere conversations, Hanni decided to respect the court's ruling and continue with ADOR."
Regarding Minji, ADOR explained, "Minji is also in discussions with ADOR, and both parties are continuing talks to broaden mutual understanding."
However, Danielle will be leaving NewJeans. ADOR stated, "We have determined that it is difficult for Danielle to continue as a member of NewJeans and an artist under ADOR. Therefore, we have notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract today. Additionally, we plan to hold one of Danielle's family members and former representative Min Hee-jin legally accountable for causing the dispute and delaying NewJeans' return."
Furthermore, ADOR emphasized, "Both the agency and the artists agree that to regain the love of fans and the public, it is necessary to take time to fully resolve misunderstandings based on accurate facts. We also plan to address the various controversies that arose during the dispute and are discussing the timing and method of doing so."
In conclusion, ADOR expressed, "We will do our utmost to resolve the matter amicably and ensure that NewJeans can return to their fans as soon as possible."
