Korean Comedian Jo Se-ho Steps Down from Popular TV Shows Amid Controversy

Korean comedian Jo Se-ho has announced his departure from two popular television programs.

On the 9th, Jo Se-ho's agency, A2Z Entertainment, confirmed that he will be stepping down from tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV's '2 Days & 1 Night.'

The agency stated, "Jo Se-ho feels a deep sense of responsibility regarding the misunderstandings and controversies surrounding him. He is fully aware of the discomfort felt by the viewers who love these programs. He also wishes that the production teams, who work tirelessly on these shows, do not bear any burden due to the attention directed at him." After discussions with the production teams, Jo Se-ho decided to voluntarily step down.

A2Z Entertainment further emphasized, "We intend to respond more rigorously to this matter. We will proceed swiftly and firmly with legal actions to resolve the misunderstandings surrounding Jo Se-ho and to restore his tarnished image. We promise to dispel all current suspicions and return in a healthy state."

The agency continues to deny the allegations that have surfaced. They reiterated, "The claims that Jo Se-ho received money from Mr. Choi for business promotion purposes are clearly false. Jo Se-ho is deeply grateful for the sincere concerns and support from many people. He also values the stern criticisms as an opportunity for self-reflection."
