Gong Hyo-jin and Ha Jung-woo Reveal Their Unique Friendship and Past Marriage Pact

Gong Hyo-jin and Ha Jung-woo have opened up about their past promise to marry each other if they remained single by the age of 60.

On the 8th, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhyung Shin Dong-yup' featured actors Ha Jung-woo, Lee Ha-nee, Gong Hyo-jin, and Kim Dong-wook.

During the show, Lee Ha-nee revealed, "No one else can handle Ha Jung-woo like Gong Hyo-jin does," drawing attention. Gong Hyo-jin laughed, saying, "I don't do this with peers or younger ones, only with older brothers like Ha Jung-woo and Gong Yoo." Ha Jung-woo humorously admitted, "It was tough."

Ha Jung-woo shared, "Hyo-jin would ask, 'How are you going to shoot this?' It was stressful." Gong Hyo-jin added, "Even during readings, he would ask, 'Do you want to play the upstairs neighbor?' The roles weren't decided until the shoot, and the couples kept changing." Ha Jung-woo noted, "The chemistry was so good that it was a constant dilemma."

Ha Jung-woo also revealed a lengthy 1-hour and 20-minute phone call with Gong Hyo-jin, saying, "I wanted to stop and revise the script. Hyo-jin critiques everything from 1 to 1000, pointing out things like 'You're not a woman, so you wouldn't understand.' If I'm unprepared, she doesn't hold back. After the movie, I had to have surgery for appendicitis, and I blame Gong Hyo-jin for 80% of it. Lee Ha-nee tried to mediate, but it felt like she was teasing me."

Gong Hyo-jin expressed her dissatisfaction with Ha Jung-woo's constant wearing of a nerd sweater in the film, saying, "He has a great body, so I told him to show it off. He refused, but I insisted that women would want to see it." Ha Jung-woo admitted, "I eventually did." Gong Hyo-jin humorously added, "I need a director too, but there were only actors on set. Then he sulks because he's an A-type."

Lee Ha-nee, who has worked with them since the drama 'Pasta,' tried to mediate, saying, "Hyo-jin's personality has mellowed. In the past, she would have walked out," causing Ha Jung-woo to grab his neck in exasperation.

Ha Jung-woo recalled, "When there were 40 guests, including the director, on set, Hyo-jin came to the monitor tent and asked, 'How are you going to shoot tomorrow?' It was a life-altering buffering moment. You can't win against Gong Hyo-jin." Gong Hyo-jin smiled and said, "I don't remember," causing laughter.

Meanwhile, Gong Hyo-jin emphasized their close friendship, saying, "We might seem like we don't get along, but we're the closest and only relationship like this. We promised each other 10 years ago that if we weren't married by 60, we'd live together."
