Hwang Bo-ra's Hilarious Luxury Car Dilemma: Bentley vs. Mercedes

Actress Hwang Bo-ra brought laughter as she humorously requested a celebrity discount on a luxury car.

On the 18th, Hwang Bo-ra's YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety' featured a video titled 'Choose Between Benz vs. Bentley: Car Recommendations for Women in Their 30s and 40s, Comparing Imported Cars' Prestige'.

In the video, Hwang Bo-ra appeared as a 'Bentley Girl', donning a blonde wig and a black mini dress. She stated, "I've been carless for a month. I'm seriously considering buying a car. My husband suggests an electric car or a V-brand for safety, but I want to buy what I like," as she visited a Bentley showroom.

Hwang Bo-ra expressed excitement over the new Bentley model, calling it her dream car. Upon learning the price ranged from 400 million to mid-400 million KRW, she jokingly said, "I'll pass," and asked if there was a celebrity discount, to which the dealer promptly replied, "No."

Concerned about the maintenance costs, including a fuel efficiency of 7 km/L and the need for premium fuel, Hwang Bo-ra was reassured by the dealer, who humorously noted, "Insurance isn't expensive because accidents are rare; everyone is cautious."

Curious about the term 'prestige', Hwang Bo-ra learned from the dealer that it refers to the attention one receives when stepping out of the car. She also inquired about customization, discovering that changing to pink leather would cost around 8 million KRW.

After browsing, Hwang Bo-ra humorously admitted, "I've hit a wall of reality. It's too expensive, but so beautiful," emphasizing that the 'prestige' is what truly matters.

During a test drive, she praised the car as "top class among those I've driven," though she was momentarily startled by warning sounds. She confessed, "I drive less than 30 minutes a day, so my car has less than 10,000 km."

Hwang Bo-ra asked, "How much do I need to earn to drive this car?" A friend replied, "Someone who can invest 20% of their income in a car, meaning you need to earn 100 million KRW a month."

While comparing the Bentley with a Mercedes G-Wagon priced around 200 million KRW, Hwang Bo-ra ultimately decided, "I want to try the Bentley and feel the prestige," but postponed the purchase. After texting her husband, Cha Hyun-woo, she received a chilly response, "You're doing well~~~ Do as you please~~," adding to the humor.
