K-Pop Star and Actor Ok Taecyeon Announces Marriage in Heartfelt Letter

K-pop star and actor Ok Taecyeon has announced his marriage through a heartfelt handwritten letter.

On November 1, Ok Taecyeon shared a letter on his social media, beginning with, "I wanted to share my story first with the fans who have always cherished and supported me, so I picked up a pen."

In his letter, Ok Taecyeon reflected, "It's been 19 years since I debuted with 2PM. Starting from the program 'Superstar Survival(슈퍼스타 서바이벌)' at the age of 19, I have come this far thanks to your constant support." He added, "I felt it was my duty to share this news first with those who have always supported and cherished me."

Ok Taecyeon announced, "I have promised to spend my life with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We plan to be a strong presence for each other and walk together in life."

He continued, "I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with unwavering hearts. Your love and support have been an indescribable source of strength for me." He also emphasized, "I will continue to do my best to repay the love and trust you have given me as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon." He concluded by saying, "Please take care of your health in the suddenly cold weather, and thank you sincerely for reading this long letter."

Ok Taecyeon's agency, 51k, also confirmed the news, stating, "Actor Ok Taecyeon has promised to share his life with someone he has been seeing for a long time." They added, "The wedding will be held privately next spring in Seoul with only family and close friends in attendance. We ask for your understanding as the details will remain private due to the non-celebrity status of the bride." They further stated, "Even after marriage, Ok Taecyeon will continue to greet fans with great projects and various activities. We ask for your continued support and love for Ok Taecyeon."

It is known that Ok Taecyeon has been in a relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend, who is four years younger, for nine years. He publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2020.
