Kwon Sang-woo's Anniversary Surprise: A Heartfelt Yet Giftless Reunion with Son Tae-young

Son Tae-young, known as 'Mrs. New Jersey,' expressed her disappointment over her husband Kwon Sang-woo's lack of an anniversary gift.

On the 18th, the YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young' released a video titled 'What is Kwon Sang-woo's Surprise Gift for Our 17th Anniversary?' In the video, Kwon Sang-woo asked Son Tae-young to turn on the camera to show off his new hairstyle. He joked, "We see each other often this year. It feels like we're living together," to which Son Tae-young agreed, saying, "When my husband is away, it feels like he's just gone for a shoot," highlighting their unique bond as a long-distance couple.

Kwon Sang-woo revealed, "The flight was very expensive because it was during the Chuseok holiday." He then mentioned, "Coincidentally, the day I arrived, September 28, is our wedding anniversary."

Son Tae-young shared her disappointment, saying, "That's where it ended. There was nothing else. I didn't even hear 'Honey, it's our anniversary' when he arrived. All I heard was 'I'm hungry.' He arrived at 11 PM, not even in the early morning, and was rummaging in the kitchen at midnight."

Son Tae-young continued, "I thought he forgot our anniversary date. It's the first time in five years, and since moving to the U.S., that we're spending it together. Usually, we spend an hour or two together or talk on the phone because of work. But he didn't even mention buying a gift. He didn't even bring a perfume from the duty-free shop. I bought him a T-shirt as a gift," expressing her feelings.

When Kwon Sang-woo promised, "I'll get you something better," Son Tae-young humorously replied, "Give me your card," bringing laughter. She added, "I have birthday, anniversary, and Christmas gifts piled up. I'll combine them and buy something big. I'll get an outerwear," revealing her plans.

The couple also shared moments with their son Rook-hee and daughter Ri-ho. Kwon Sang-woo, while dropping Ri-ho off at school, shouted "I LOVE YOU Ri-ho," to which his daughter sighed in English, "OH MY GUSH." Despite being told "never to do it again," Kwon Sang-woo felt she was expecting it and expressed his affection once more, showcasing their warm family bond.

Additionally, Kwon Sang-woo was seen playing soccer games with his son in the basement, portraying a friendly father figure. Earlier in the summer, he spent time with his son's friends at a water park, enjoying family time in the U.S.

Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young married in 2008 and have a son and a daughter.
