Korean Actress Son Tae-young Addresses Malicious Rumors About Her Marriage to Kwon Sang-woo

Korean actress Son Tae-young has spoken out against malicious rumors about her marriage to actor Kwon Sang-woo, often referred to as a 'show window couple.'

On October 11, Son Tae-young addressed these rumors in a video titled 'Son Tae-young: "Please Stop..." Confession About Crossing the Line Rumors' on her YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young.'

In the video, Son Tae-young shared her thoughts with a friend about the rumors, stating, "I've been on YouTube for two years. My son's school friends think I'm a YouTuber. They call me a 'YouTuber mom.'"

Her friend mentioned, "When videos are uploaded, I search for them, and sometimes there are stories about your husband. Recently, rumors like 'someone saw him, he's a goose father' have been circulating." The friend noted that the IP address of the malicious commenter is the same, suggesting that the person is spreading the rumors themselves.

Son Tae-young expressed her frustration, saying, "When you hear celebrity rumors, it's always 'I heard from a friend of a friend.' I have a set group of friends in the U.S. Who among them would speak ill of me? I have real friends."

She continued, "If you see such rumor posts, ignore them. Instead, leave a comment on my YouTube channel, and I'll answer sincerely. If you want the real facts, hear them from me." She also mentioned considering a live session on her channel to address these issues.

Meanwhile, Son Tae-young moved to New Jersey in 2020 for her children's education and is currently living apart from her husband, Kwon Sang-woo, who remains in Korea.

Son Tae-young also shared updates about her son, Luke. She explained, "He joined a soccer club here after playing soccer since he was young in Korea. He's not aiming to become a professional player, but he loves the sport."

She added, "I told him, 'I can't do much for you in America, but I'll give you rides if you find something you want to do.' Thankfully, he found soccer on his own. It's good he knows how to exercise. I can't suddenly tell him to do music. He plays electric guitar but seems to love soccer more. He tried basketball but wasn't great at it. He's also studying hard these days," she said proudly.
