Comedian Lee Jin-ho Faces DUI Charges Amid Ongoing Illegal Gambling Investigation

Comedian Lee Jin-ho, who is currently under investigation for illegal gambling, has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

On the 24th, Lee Jin-ho's agency, SM C&C, released an official statement confirming the incident. "After confirming with Lee Jin-ho himself, he admitted to driving under the influence early this morning," the agency stated. "He has completed the required investigation at the local police station and is awaiting further action."

The agency further commented, "Lee Jin-ho acknowledges his wrongdoing without any excuses and is deeply remorseful. The agency also feels a strong sense of responsibility and will ensure that Lee Jin-ho complies with any legal actions and penalties." They added, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern once again."

Lee Jin-ho was recently handed over to the prosecution on charges of illegal gambling. Last October, he confessed to debts incurred from illegal gambling. At the time, he stated, "In 2020, I started playing games on an illegal online gambling site by chance, which led to debts I couldn't handle. With stern advice from friends and the fear of not being able to do what I love, I managed to quit gambling, but I had already received financial help from many people. I am committed to repaying my debts no matter what."
