Actress Park Yeon-soo Faces Backlash Over Instagram Post About Daughter's Career Choices

Actress Park Yeon-soo is facing criticism from netizens.

On the 18th, Park Yeon-soo shared a video on her Instagram with the caption, "While changing dozens of outfits, I was having so much fun, but Jia said, 'Golf is a hundred times easier and more fun.'"

The video shows Park's daughter, Jia, modeling various outfits. Park commented, "Even when results weren't coming and agencies contacted us, I wondered, 'Why choose this difficult path when there's an easier one?' But I acknowledge your love for golf!" This reflects her acceptance of Jia's firm preferences.

However, some netizens criticized Park's remarks, questioning, "Is the entertainment industry an easy path?" and pointing out that it is also a field of fierce competition. On the other hand, some defended Park, suggesting that from a parent's perspective, golf might seem like the more challenging path.

Park Yeon-soo debuted in the 2001 film 'Tears' and married soccer player Song Jong-kook in 2006. After having daughter Song Jia in 2007 and son Song Ji-wook in 2008, the couple divorced in 2015. Both children gained popularity through the 2013 MBC show 'Dad! Where Are We Going?' Currently, Jia is pursuing a career as a golfer, while Ji-wook is active as a soccer player.
