IVE's Jang Wonyoung Opens Up About Handling Online Criticism

IVE's Jang Wonyoung recently shared her thoughts on dealing with online criticism.

On November 1st, a video titled 'Not Me, But Jang Wonyoung's Vlog...' was uploaded to Davichi's Kang Min-kyung's YouTube channel, 'Kang Ming Kyung.'

In the video, Kang Min-kyung explained her connection with Jang Wonyoung, saying, "I was contacted through the company to film this vlog. We didn't have a personal relationship before this."

She continued, "Although Wonyoung is young and a junior, I've observed her since her debut and found her to have a healthy mindset and the right thoughts. I was personally curious about her private side and wanted to show what message lies behind her bright and healthy mentality."

Jang Wonyoung's vlog showcased her busy schedule, including early morning shoots and traveling to Berlin for the 'Lollapalooza' festival after a brief rest.

While walking at night overseas, Jang Wonyoung expressed, "I usually have a car, but when I'm abroad, I like to walk without a mask or hat. It feels freeing."

During a meal with Kang Min-kyung, Jang Wonyoung candidly spoke about her 'killer schedule,' saying, "I've never thought I was living diligently. Since it's work under my name, I felt I had to do it properly, not just diligently."

Known for her positive influence, even coining the phrase 'Lucky Vicky,' Jang Wonyoung admitted, "I do get angry sometimes, especially when I have to give up on myself due to work or situations."

Regarding online criticism, Jang Wonyoung stated, "Loving others is something only those who love themselves can do. I don't pay attention to things like malicious comments. I think I have a strong mentality."

She added, "If I haven't done anything truly wrong, there's no reason to be concerned. I welcome feedback on mistakes, but baseless slander and malicious rumors can't scratch my essence."
