Previously, Son Ye-jin was embroiled in a controversy regarding her treatment of a child actor. At the press conference for 'Hopeless' on the 19th, she mentioned, "Having a child helped me in this role," and "Being with a child felt natural." Co-star Lee Byung-hun humorously added, "The child actor asked many questions, and I answered them, but Son Ye-jin didn't. When I asked her to respond, she said, 'Please handle it, senior.'"

Lee Byung-hun's comments led to a controversy, prompting the child actor's mother to clarify that "Son Ye-jin was kind."

Born in 1982, Son Ye-jin is married to fellow actor Hyun Bin, and they have a son. She is set to return to the big screen with Park Chan-wook's new film 'Hopeless.'

Meanwhile, 'Hopeless,' featuring Son Ye-jin, Lee Byung-hun, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, and Yum Hye-ran, will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on the 29th and is set for a domestic release on September 24th.
