Jang Keun-suk's Spicy Challenge on 'Radio Star' After 18 Years

Singer and actor Jang Keun-suk makes his first appearance on 'Radio Star' in 18 years, putting his so-called 'bravado cheat key' to the test.

The episode, airing on the 16th, is themed 'World Class, Only I Can See You~' and features guests including singer Lee Hong-gi, Soobin from the group Tomorrow X Together, and broadcaster Kim Shin-young.

During the show, Jang Keun-suk shares an anecdote from his YouTube channel, mentioning his successful 'one-shot cola' challenge with Choo Sung-hoon. He also boasts about his spice tolerance, claiming he eats Cheongyang peppers like peanuts.

To verify Jang's claims, the production team prepares a three-tier spicy pepper challenge, including Cheongyang peppers, jalapeños, and the notoriously hot 'mouse dung' peppers. Jang confidently pops two Cheongyang peppers into his mouth, smoothly handles the jalapeños, but MC Kim Gura notes his reddening eyes, expressing doubt.

Lee Hong-gi also claims to handle spicy food well but struggles after a bite of the 'mouse dung' pepper. Jang, maintaining a calm demeanor, also eats the final pepper but shows signs of discomfort, prompting MC Kim Gook-jin to humorously question, "Isn't it spicy?"

Soobin from Tomorrow X Together, encouraged by MC Kim Gura, attempts the challenge. After consuming Cheongyang peppers and jalapeños, he can't hide his surprise at the rising heat.

Jang Keun-suk also attempts the 'hold in a burp after drinking cola' challenge. Before the mission, he declares he will reenact a famous line from the drama 'You're Beautiful,' stirring excitement. Whether he can suppress the burp after chugging cola will be revealed in the broadcast.
