BTS's Jungkook Apologizes for Controversial Hat Slogan
BTS member Jungkook has issued an apology for wearing a hat with a controversial slogan.

On the morning of the 14th, Jungkook took to the fan platform Weverse to express his regret, stating, "I sincerely apologize for disappointing and causing discomfort to many people due to the slogan on the hat I wore during rehearsal."

He continued, "I deeply regret my lack of awareness in not fully understanding the historical and political implications of the slogan. I take full responsibility for the disappointment and hurt I have caused."

Jungkook revealed that he has since discarded the hat and added, "There is no excuse for my actions, regardless of the reason. I was careless and lacked judgment. Moving forward, I will be more thoughtful and considerate in my actions."

The controversy arose after Jungkook made a surprise appearance at fellow BTS member J-Hope's solo world tour encore performance, where he performed hits like 'Seven.' This marked Jungkook's first stage appearance since completing his military service on the 11th.

However, during the rehearsal, Jungkook was seen wearing a black hat with the slogan 'MAKE TOKYO GREAT AGAIN,' which drew attention. The phrase is a variation of former U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign slogan 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN' and is reportedly used by far-right groups in Japan.
