Red Velvet's Yeri Embarks on New Acting Journey with Blitzway Entertainment

Kim Ye-rim, known as Yeri from the popular K-pop group Red Velvet, is set to embark on a new chapter in her career as an actress after leaving SM Entertainment.

Hong Min-ki, CEO of Blitzway Entertainment, announced on the 1st, "We are thrilled to join Kim Ye-rim on her new journey and explore her potential as an actress. We will provide full support to ensure her experiences and skills gained on the global stage translate into a broad spectrum in her acting career."

Along with the announcement of her exclusive contract, new profile photos of Kim Ye-rim were released. In the images, she captivates with a restrained yet intense gaze, exuding a mysterious and solid aura.

Kim Ye-rim debuted with Red Velvet in 2014, building a strong fanbase both domestically and internationally through numerous album releases. She has been honing her acting skills with roles in films like 'Blue Birthday' and the KBS1 drama 'Applause.' In 2023, she showcased her acting potential in the globally released Netflix drama 'Cheongdam International High School.'

In 'Cheongdam International High School,' Kim Ye-rim played the role of Baek Jena, the only daughter of a top conglomerate family. She portrayed the character's inner struggles with a nuanced performance, convincingly building the character's complexity. Her performance in the drama solidified her capabilities as a leading actress. The series is set to release its second season soon.
