Lim Young-woong Tops Poll as Most Desired Male Trot Singer to View Cherry Blossoms With

Lim Young-woong has been voted as the number one male trot singer people want to go see cherry blossoms with.

From March 24 to 30, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which male trot singer would you like to go see cherry blossoms with?' Lim Young-woong emerged as the winner.

Lim debuted in 2016 with the digital single 'I Hate You' and rose to stardom in 2020 through 'Mr. Trot.' During 'Mr. Trot,' he secured the top spot with an overwhelming 25% of the total votes, establishing himself as a leading trot singer across generations. Last year, he reportedly received approximately 23.3 billion KRW, including settlement payments, from his agency, Fish Music.

In second place is Song Min-jun, who debuted in 2019 with the single album 'Woman in Memory' and has been actively performing since. He ranked 8th in 'Mr. Trot 2' in 2023 and appeared on 'Mystery Music Show: Masked Singer' and 'Current King 2' last year, delighting viewers. Known for his tall stature, he is a close friend of Lim Young-woong and has gained popularity for his gentle and charming looks.

Third place goes to Lee Chan-won, who will debut as a futsal commentator on KBS 2TV's 'Volunteer,' premiering on the 5th. At the online production presentation for 'Volunteer' on the 3rd, Lee expressed his excitement, saying, "I am honored and happy to join as an MC and special commentator alongside soccer legends."

Currently, on the Top Ten TenAsia website, polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to get caught in the spring rain with?' and 'Which female trot singer would you like to get caught in the spring rain with?' among others.
