K-Pop Stars Rally to Support Wildfire Relief Efforts in South Korea
K-Pop stars are stepping up to aid wildfire relief efforts in South Korea.

Mark from the group NCT has donated 100 million KRW to assist with recovery efforts in the Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan regions affected by wildfires. According to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association on the 27th, Mark expressed his hope for a swift resolution to the prolonged wildfire situation and wished for the quick return to normalcy for those affected and those working tirelessly to control the fires.

Kim Jiwoong, a member of the group ZEROBASEONE, contributed 10 million KRW. His agency stated that Kim joined the donation efforts hoping to minimize the damage caused by the sudden wildfires. He expressed particular concern and sympathy for the large-scale wildfire damage near his birthplace, Pohang, and hoped his contribution would provide some relief.

Previously, singer IU also announced her donation. On the 26th, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association reported that IU donated a total of 200 million KRW, with 100 million KRW allocated for wildfire relief and another 100 million KRW to improve the treatment and awareness of firefighters dedicated to disaster sites.

IU expressed her hope that her contribution would offer some help to those affected and extended her deepest condolences to the victims. She sincerely wished for the wildfires to be extinguished without further casualties and expressed her deep gratitude to the firefighters for their dedication.

Suzy also joined the cause by donating 100 million KRW. Her agency stated that upon hearing the news of the spreading wildfires, Suzy felt compelled to help in this urgent situation and hoped for the fires to be extinguished soon so that the affected communities could return to their daily lives.
