Legal Battle Intensifies: Kim Sae-ron's Family Reveals Second Legal Notice from Kim Soo-hyun's Agency

The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has disclosed that they received a second legal notice from Kim Soo-hyun's agency.

On the 17th, Bu Ji-seok, the representative lawyer from the law firm representing Kim Sae-ron's family, held a press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. He stated, "Kim Soo-hyun's agency claimed the first legal notice was a formal procedure. However, after the first notice, the deceased sent a message to Kim Soo-hyun pleading for help, which led to the agency sending a second notice. Kim Soo-hyun never reached out."

Previously, Gold Medalist, the agency representing both Kim Soo-hyun and formerly Kim Sae-ron, sent a legal notice on March 15, 2022, demanding the repayment of a 700 million won debt from Kim Sae-ron. They explained it was an unavoidable procedure to avoid potential breach of duty.

However, lawyer Bu explained that the reason for the second notice was a photo Kim Sae-ron posted on Instagram on March 24, 2022, showing her with Kim Soo-hyun. "The deceased posted the photo hoping to get a response after receiving no reply to the first notice," he said.

The following day, on March 25, 2022, Kim Sae-ron received the second legal notice from her former agency. The document was discovered by her family while sorting through her belongings after her passing.

The second notice, revealed by the family through Garo Sero Institute, reiterated the demand for the repayment of the 700 million won and warned of potential legal consequences for posting the photo with Kim Soo-hyun.

The notice stated, "We respectfully request that you refrain from contacting our company's employees or actors regarding this debt. The actor is currently appearing in a drama, and this is a serious matter that could cause significant legal issues. We urge you to avoid actions that could disrupt the business of our company and its associates."

Lawyer Bu added, "Since the second notice, there has been no contact from Kim Soo-hyun or any other actors from his agency. It's hard to imagine the emotional distress the deceased must have experienced. We are considering legal action against Kim Soo-hyun's side."

Kwon Young-chan, head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, who was present at the press conference, said, "Kim Sae-ron tried to protect Kim Soo-hyun until the end. She confided in her mother about her concerns and whether to conduct a forensic investigation. This was directly testified by Kim Sae-ron's sibling. Kim Soo-hyun's side suggested using Telegram instead of KakaoTalk."

Previously, Garo Sero Institute claimed that Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship from 2015 to 2021, releasing photos, messages, and letters exchanged between the two.

In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side issued statements on the 14th and 15th, refuting the claims. Gold Medalist stated, "The two dated from 2019 to 2020, after Kim Sae-ron became an adult," and argued that the photos released by Garo Sero Institute were taken in 2019.
