Calm Man, ‘I just don’t like Hong Myung-bo’ official apology for mistake

Calm Man said through a live broadcast, "I apologize for making a mistake during the day and making you uncomfortable," and "I was going through hot issues and talking about the Korea National Football League incident. What I said was, 'It's not like I just don't like coach Hong Myung-bo.' He apologized on the 15th, saying, “I didn’t mean to upset you.”
He said, "When I approach a matter, I have a habit of organizing my thoughts by making certain assumptions and then cutting out things that are not. The problem was the way I spoke. I spoke as if I was making a conclusion. Sensitive issues need to be approached carefully, but you can't speak up even if you don't know. "I thought that if you don't know something, you should do it carefully and politely," he said. "The appointment of coach Hong Myung-bo is also a problem, but there is an accumulated history, and the tone and expression are a way of speaking that ignores matters related to such procedures and turns (football fans) into ignorant fans. “I admit that I was rude and I want to apologize,” he said, bowing his head.
Previously, on AfreecaTV's live broadcast, Chum Chum Man commented on the controversy surrounding the appointment of coach Hong Myung-bo by the Football Association and commented, "Ignoring procedures is the biggest thing," to which Chum Chum Man replied, "Even if procedures were ignored, if a good coach had been brought in, it would have been like this. He said, “So, I don’t think it’s because Coach Hong Myung-bo can’t do it straight away, so I just don’t like it, even if I didn’t say anything.” “If Guardiola (EPL Manchester City coach) had been brought in, there would have been no complaints, but from my perspective, as I don’t know him well, I just feel like he doesn’t like the coach,” he said, sparking controversy.
Soccer fans were angry at Chimchaekman's remarks. In particular, there were signs of backlash as news broke that Calm Man would be joining the SBS broadcasting team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
