Lee Soo-geun leaves SM C&C after 10 years of service and signs exclusive contract with Big Planet Made
On the 18th, Big Planet Made Entertainment announced the news of signing an exclusive contract with Lee Soo-geun, saying, "We will not spare any support so that Lee Soo-geun, who is active as an all-round entertainer, can show a more diverse side of himself to the public. Lee Soo-geun will be active in various fields in the future. “We ask for your interest and support.”
Previously, Lee Soo-geun signed an exclusive contract with SM C&C in 2012 and has been with SM C&C for over 10 years, but announced the termination of the contract earlier this month.
Since then, Soo-geun Lee has continued his 19-year relationship with CEO Dong-jun Kim, who joined Big Planet Made Entertainment last year. In addition, Kim Si-gyu, advisor of One Hundred, the parent company of Big Planet Made Entertainment, also has a relationship with Lee Soo-geun, having worked with Lee Soo-geun on KBS 2TV's '1 Night 2 Days' and JTBC's inaugural program 'Lee Soo-geun and Kim Byeong-man's High Society' and 'Knowing Bros.' The synergy between Soo-geun Lee, General Manager Dong-jun Kim, and Advisor Si-gyu Kim is expected to unfold in a variety of activities.
Lee Soo-geun debuted as a comedian in the 18th KBS program in 2003, and has since led programs in entertainment series representing domestic variety such as '2 Days & 1 Night', 'New Journey to the West', 'Kang's Kitchen', and 'Player'. He is currently appearing regularly on JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' and KBS Joy's 'Ask Anything'.
Meanwhile, Big Planet Made Entertainment currently includes singers Heo Gak, VIVIZ (Viviz, Eunha, Sinbi, Umji), Ha Sung-woon, Lee Moo-jin, Bio, Ren, and performance director Kany.
