Former NCT member LUCAS, who took a hiatus due to controversy over his private life, plans to release his first single in April and make his solo debut.

On the 11th, SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as 'SM') announced that Lucas' first single 'Renegade' will be released in its entirety on various music sites at 6 PM on April 1.

According to SM, the title song 'Renegade' is a rock-based hip-hop song, and the lyrics contain the aspiration to walk one's own path without hesitation through changes for the better and a stronger inner self.

SM also said that the powerful guitar riff and driving beat that seem to ignite a fire in the heart further highlight the message of pioneering one's own life.

Previously, Lucas suspended his activities in August 2021 due to controversy over his private life with his ex-girlfriend. According to the entertainment industry, Lucas' ex-girlfriend A claimed that she was subjected to fraudulent dating and gaslighting by Lucas.
